About Your Teacher
My mission as a first grade teacher is to be a facilitator in building a foundation of lifelong learning. I am dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment that fosters the development of academic achievement while building strong morals and leadership skills throughout the year. During the learning process of inquiry and problem solving students are allowed to experience success without the fear of failure and each success is celebrated and taught in the manner most conducive to their particular “learning style.”
News From Our Classroom
“Welcome to the World of First Grade”
I am very excited to have your children in my classroom. I anticipate a fun-filled educational year with tremendous growth.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself. I graduated from National College of Education with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I received a major in Social Studies and a minor in Math. I have twenty- two years of teaching experience of which nineteen have been in first grade. This year marks my twelfth year at St. Anne. My husband and I have five grown daughters and four wonderful grandchildren.
I believe communication between teacher and parent is a vital part of your child’s education. Please be aware that important school and classroom information will be sent to you through our School Rush communication system daily. Here you will be able to find out about the wonderful things happening at school and in our classroom. It will also be a place you can find homework assignments and spelling words. In addition it will include activities and special reminders for the upcoming weeks. Please visit the St. Anne web- site and my page for further information.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding your children, please feel free to contact me at school. I can be reached for phone calls between 7:30 and 7:50 A.M. as well as after school. If these times are not convenient you may either e-mail me at email@example.com, leave a message at the office or on my voice mail extension 255. I will reply as soon as possible. I do check my e-mail readily throughout the day. This tends to be the quickest way to answer questions. However, if a matter requires personal attention I will call you at lunch or after school. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason! I am looking forward to becoming partners in your child’s education.
Cherish God’s Children,
